Hi! I’m Teacher Cynde
and I am a certified teacher with a masters degree ready to put all of my expertise and experience to work for your child! I have a bachelors in Business Management, a learning resources endorsement, a TESOL certificate, and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership. I am certified to teach children ages K-12 and have over 27 years of teaching experience. Before deciding to teach ESL on my own, I worked for VIPKid for four years and loved it! My passions in life are photography, travel, family, and teaching! My goal is to make meaningful relationships with children who are ready to learn English in a fun, interactive, energetic way! I hope to see your child in my classroom!
Class Options
Customized Private Classes
These private 1-to-1 classes consist of some warm-up and free-talk, review, and curriculum activities. With private classes, the lessons go at the pace that meets your child’s needs. We focus on exactly what the student can improve on, and no time is wasted reviewing things that your child already knows. These classes are completely customized to your child’s needs. From help with homework to working on a world-renowned curriculum text, to preparing for his/her next Cambridge exam, it is up to you!
Group Classes
Group Classes (2-to-1 or 3-to-1) offer a unique and fun opportunity for students to add a fun component to their learning. This also helps shy students feel more comfortable. Students in class will take turns reading, answering questions, and conversing while the teacher guides the lesson, makes corrections, and takes care to make sure all students get a fair and equal amount of attention. If these are classes amongst students who know each other, parents can request specialized and customized instruction in this format too.
Conversation Practice
Conversation practice builds confidence in students. The teacher will ask lots of questions to keep the student talking, and be correcting grammar along the way. This is also a great option for students that resist textbook learning. The subjects will be tailored to the students interests or to parent requests.
Reading Classes
Students enjoy a fully interactive classroom hosted on ClassIn. Class scheduling is simple and clear within the app, and all lessons are recorded. A short feedback ‘report’ and video link will be sent to the parents after each lesson.

This includes many downloadable books, activities, and workbooks to pair with the curriculum that they have chosen. Parents can view future learning material and help prepare their students for success.

I pride myself in having a great rapport with the children I teach and for maintaining long-lasting tutor-student relationships with them over the years. In fact, almost all of my current students are students I have taught for over three years. Keeping the class fun and interesting is one of my strengths.
